The inception of 'SilverPoint was a modest aspiration: to introduce real Neapolitan pizza to Glasgow. The journey began when the Thompson family launched a quaint pizzeria in 1985, a business steeped in family tradition with secrets passed from one generation to the next.
Emma Thompson, our pioneer, acquired the pizza craft on her odyssey through Italy, apprenticing with Neapolitan pizza virtuosos. Her return to the UK marked the pursuit to reproduce Italian pizza's enchanting taste, employing ancestral techniques and uncompromised ingredients.
Our origins from a petite 12-seat eatery have flourished into a cherished fixture of the locale without compromising our devotion to excellence. Our traditional wood oven methods remain, as does our practice of daily fresh dough and procurement of the finest produce available.
Today, 'SilverPoint continues under the stewardship of the Thompson lineage, with its second generation inspiring a dedicated crew. We've adapted new technologies, yet the essence of our establishment — forging delectable, bona fide pizza to unite people — endures.
